Clubhouse
The recreation center at 6221 Leona Drive includes a fitness center, bathrooms, and a reservable event space. 

Residents may request two pass keys per household to access the recreation center.

There is a $25.00 fee for each Key FOB (limit 2 per household).  Make check payable to Monte Vista Villas of Oakland Association. The fee is nonrefundable.

Recreation Room Rental
The recreation room is available for members in good standing with the Association to rent. The rental includes use of a full kitchen, and some tables and chairs, for a maximum capacity of 50 guests.

Reservations are available only for immediate household use (no 3rd party rentals). The member renting the facility must be in attendance for the entire function. The function must be a personal activity, i.e. no business meetings, seminars, workshops, etc.

The recreation center rental does not include use of the adjacent park, which is a first come, first served basis. 

The cost to rent the recreation room is $50 and a $200 refundable deposit. Proof of homeowners insurance (HO6) policy verifying liability coverage adding Monte Vista Villas of Oakland Association as an insured for the event is mandatory. 

The association has a legal requirement to protect the HOA and members from potential liability. Requiring additional insurance for special use of the clubhouse is standard for associations. Many HO6 policies have a liability clause that is typically sufficient if you add the association as an insured for the event. If you do not carry any liability insurance, a single event policy may be the solution but would cost significantly more. The clubhouse rental rules were distributed as part of the 28-day review and comment period before it was formally adopted by the Board in March 2022. 

To request a rental reservation, visit montevistavillas.com and complete the following steps: 
  1. Select an available date on the Amenity Calendar (My Items > Submit a Request > Reservation Request)
  2. Submit your completed Recreation Room Application
  3. Provide proof of homeowners insurance (HO6) policy verifying liability coverage
  4. Confirmation of $50 rental fee and $200 refundable deposit has been received. Once the event is complete and the post-rental inspection is satisfactory, Management will reverse the deposit charge on your account. 
Please note, your reservation status is not 'Approved' until all of the above is received by Management.
